Description
"Deliverance" begs the question as to whether the mermaid is seeking deliverance from her watery imprisonment in the net that is about to overcome her, or do the occupants of the rowboat need her deliverance from the circling sharks. Perhaps the net is symbolic of her capturing sailors and committing them to the sea. This mermaid art piece was a year in the planning and accumulation of items for incorporation and deciding on the execution of it. The painting creation took a full 40-50 hours.
