Description
Crater Lake is a caldera lake in the western United States, located in south-central Oregon. It is the main feature of Crater Lake National Park and is famous for its deep blue color and water clarity. The lake partly fills a nearly 2,148-foot (655 m)-deep caldera[1] that was formed around 7,700 (± 150) years ago[2] by the collapse of the volcano Mount Mazama.

Your landscape image really caught my eye Donna... because it happens to be in my neck of the woods and one of my favorite places to visit and photograph. :-) You did a marvelous job of photographing it. A clear and beautiful image of Crater Lake. FV

I think I took my shots a bit to the left of where you were, but your viewpoint is terrific! My wife and I were there this past summer, just after our daughter's wedding. I remember photographing the lake and thinking no one is going to believe that blue is the real color. Stunning!
